Portfolio Performance

Methodology
Calm regime

An ML model predicts forward excess returns using momentum and trend features, ranking 1,000+ stocks. The fund holds the top 20 with volatility-based sizing and sector caps. Positions exit on rank decay or crash stops, with monthly rebalances.

Hostile regime

When market conditions deteriorate, the system closes all positions and moves to cash until conditions improve.

Regime detection

A statistical model monitors market health daily. When the probability of hostile conditions crosses a threshold, the portfolio switches strategies.

Validation

Tested using walk-forward validation across 12 non-overlapping 6-month windows from 2019 to 2025. Each window trains a fresh model on the prior 3 years of data. No future information leaks into any test.
